Had a great time with Captain Mike and deckhand Shane!…. Conditions were a little rough, but the Ocean Cat cut through the 3-4 ft swells like butter. It made the trip out and back quick which allowed us to maximize the time we had our hooks in the water.
  We targeted bigger snapper and had some success. Captain Mike definitely made sure he didn’t waste our time if the big boys weren’t at that spot, we’d pick up and move on to the next one.  We landed one 20+ pounder and pulled the hook on a second one right at the boat. Of course we still came in with our boat limit of keepers. In all we probably landed around 20 fish total. We caught 3 Amberjack, a handful of triggerfish, and a bunch of legal snapper. We probably only caught 2 snapper that were under 14 inches. We also trolled for about a 1/2 hour between spots and got a nice bite! That reel was screaming, but the hook didn’t catch unfortunately.
  All in all, it was a great trip! We caught a lot of fish in 1/2 day with just 3 people. (One of the 3 in our party didn’t even fish much) Not only would I recommend Mike and Shane to anybody looking for a trip, but I look forward to fishing again with them next time we are in town!

My son in law and I had a great time.  Captain Mike had us on fish as soon as we were out of the channel into the main ocean.  We caught Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, hard tails, Amber Jack (catch and release due to season), and another type I forget the name.  Either way, it was a very good outing and Shane, 1st mate was prompt and kept our lines baited.  Later he fileted our keepers.

We are soooo glad we picked the ocean cat! Capt. Mike treated us like long lost friends. Great guy, wealth of knowledge, and worked his ass off to make sure we stayed on the fish. Boat was more than big enough for our party of 4. Capt. Mike also put up a giant sun shade to keep the temp down. We are still talking about the great trip!!!

My family of six had a wonderful time with Captain Mike and Shane! Unfortunately, our trip was cut short because of bad weather, but I can’t wait for my next chance to go out with them again. Great boat, and great people! Highly recommend it if you’re in orange beach!

Rough seas on the way out this morning but Mike’s boat is perfectly suited to slice and dice through.  We made amazing time and got on the fish super fast.

Never lacked a single thing and had a damn blast the whole day.  Will be coming back for some fall fishing.
