Great day fishing with Captain Ricky and First Mate Josh. We are so thankful for the opportunity to fish with these guys. Very knowledgeable and had us on fish quickly. Even when all the other charters around us headed back in to the dock without any bites, let alone any fish on the boat.
I have chartered a few different trips in the past and one of my biggest concerns has always been the personality of the crew. That can make or break a trip if you get someone that is not very personable. Captain Ricky is great! Easy to talk to during transit and downtime. Very patient as well. We had some first timers without much experience and he did a great job teaching them how to fish offshore.
If you are looking for a great crew on a nice boat and some fish to bring home, Captain Ricky is the man. See you next time and maybe I can get you up to Iowa some winter to hunt whitetail deer.

Ricky is one of the good ones! First, the boat was in amazing shape. Newer engines, super quiet and a great ride. Second, and more importantly Ricky’s knowledge of the waters and the bite, was spot on! My family had an awesome experience and hope to join Ricky again in the future.

Let me start by saying we had a blast! We brought home 3 king mackerel but we also caught and released a shark, a barracuda (which was a heck of a fight) and 2 small cobia. Captain Ricky is an excellent and knowledgeable captain! He was patient and helpful with us newbie fishers (myself and my 2 teenagers) and made it easy to catch on. The Rocky Bottom is one fast boat and made going offshore a lot less of a chore. I definitely recommend them and would absolutely fish with them again if we visit St. Augustine!

Thank you Ricky for taking us out, we had such an amazing day and added amazing memories to our Honeymoon! Such great conversation and tunes to add to the fish we were able to bring home. My husband and I highly recommend you for anyone wanting to try charter fishing!!
