Hubby caught a fish. Cooked on the BBQ deliscious. Had a great time with captain and mate. She did a great job.

Highly recommend going out with these guys. Captain Rich and mate Ray we’re knowledgeable and great to talk to. Got a blue marlin!

The crew were nice and the boat was fine, but if you actually want to fish, you might want to check out a different trip. This is sport fishing. We shared an 8 hour trip with four other people. There were 6 fishing lines placed in the water by the first mate. We had to draw a playing card and then IF a fish got on a line, the captain would pull a card and that person could reel it in. We trolled around far off the coast and nothing happened for 8 hours. It’s understandable that “fishing” is not always “catching”, but we never tried any different, and we never stopped. When we pulled back into the harbor, there were other boats that had caught fish, so we were super disappointed that the captain hadn’t communicated with other boats to go were the fish were. This was a very expensive boat ride in very choppy waters. We felt as thought we lost one of our vacation days. Just know what you’re getting into on this trip, I wish I had known in advance I wouldn’t actually be allowed to handle a pole or bait, and I’d only be allowed to catch if the captain picked my card. There was little communication from the captain to us during the trip, and we and the four people that shared this trip with us were super disappointed in how it was run. We sat in the cabin for the entire day. We asked how often this happens when they don’t catch, and we’re told they catch an average of four days out of seven days, so of you go on this trip and depending on if you’re on a shared trip, those are going to be your odds. Captain had very little fishing knowledge of his own.  The deckhand was very knowledgeable and actually had to regularly provide instruction to the captain.  We caught 1 Mahi Mahi in an 8 hour day.  It’s fishing, not catching, so no complaints on the amount of action.  Just hard not to wonder if the day would have gone better if we had a knowledge fishing captain rather than a boat driver.
