My three friends and I went out on Makai and had a blast. Captain Coyle put us on tons of delicious flounder and was very hospitable to us. I especially liked how he helped a few of my buddies who had less experience with fishing. Captain Coyle and his mate are a great team which made the trip seemless. We had a few portions of the trip when the tide and wind were less than favorable for fishing conditions. Even still, our captain made a change and darted off for a different location that proved to be optimal. In the end, fishing is fishing so you’re best off picking a boat that has an experienced crew and gear that’ll put you in the best position to catch fish. Go with Makai!

First time with Capt. LC, great overall trip. I’ve been on a few guided trips, I gauge them on the effort put in first. Capt. LC and first mate George showed great knowledge, appreciation, and passion for the sport.

Fishing was very consistent with 30+ fish to boat, and nine keepers in the boat. A combination of flounder and sea bass.

Boat and equipment were top notch providing safety and comfort. Capt. LC definitely gained a repeat client.

Weather was perfect. Captain Larry and boat mate George were on top of things from the time we stepped on the boat. If you’ve never done a charter or even caught flounder and want to, this is the charter, Captain Larry showed us in detail how to catch a flounder and we definitely caught some keepers.
