The gear was awesome! All top notch stuff, he had plenty of backup gear ready so there was little-no down time on change ups or break offs. The boat is awesome! The water temp. was at record lows when we went, but he knew where to find the fish. My friend was in town from Alaska, so it was nice to take him with me and catch so many fish on such a cold day.
I felt safe and confident on the boat. I am sure the fishing is much better now the water is warm. I have been fishing the bay since the early 80’s and I have never caught that many fish in the whole winter.
Given the weather my expectations were low, but even if they had been much higher still hit the mark. Book the trip, and have some fun! Bring a couple beers because you will be behind the reel, not behind the wheel.
