Morning (5:30-12:30) Rockfish Charter booked with Captain Derick and First Mate Gordy: Could not be more pleased. Clear communication was established from booking through Catch, Clean and Enjoy. Derick and Gordy know exactly how to get “Fish On!” - Catching our daily limit before 11AM. Fin & Feather’s boat is in top shape, as was the communication between Derick, Gordy and our Fishing Party of 6. Gordy cleaned our catch and Fin & Feather’s partnership with Dock of the Bay Restaurant ensured Catch of the Day Freshness - Ours!

My family and I (including our dog) had a fun day on the water with Capt Derick. We started off the morning catching crabs (estimate over 60 crabs), then we did some fishing, stopped at a beach and finished with lunch at the Dock of the Bay.

Capt Derick is very knowledgeable of the Bay, will put you on spots to catch crabs and fish. He is honest, great communicator, timely and will go above and beyond to provide a great service to his customers. We brought our dog on the trip and Capt Derick coordinated getting our crabs steamed for lunch.

Great time on the Smuggler with Capt Derrick. Beautiful boat, very comfortable. Derrick works hard to get you a great experience; deployed 18 lines and trolled over 20 miles to catch our rockfish. Both trips the Smuggler was morred convenient to the action. We met one time at Ches Beach and the other at Kentmorre which eliminated run time and increased fishing time!  My group likes to be hands on and Derrick adjust to your groups experience. I will definitely book again soon.

Derick did everything he could ro make the trip work out just perfectly.  He goes his own way and not just follow the crowd. They play by the rules and are honest.  We landed a 31.25 (too big to keep), 25, and 23 inch rockfish. I have been on a handful to private fishing trips and Derick and Mike are as good as it hets. One suggestion is to make sure tou bring your own drinks. Highly recommend. Good value foe this area.

We booked a trip for the spring trophy season. We were greeted upon arrival and the boat was warmed up and ready to leave the dock. After a quick run to the fishing spot the lines were in. All matched new rods and reels outfitted with the right rigs, what a pretty spread. Derrick works hard to put and keep you on the fish. As a sport fisherman for nearly 30 years I can say we will be back reel soon.
