Tuna, Mahi, Yellowtail, Barracuda, Bass and the other species of fish we target are great but heir is nothing that compares to the adrenaline rush that your catch provides- smashed the fist gaff/cork screwed the second gaff and put up one heck of an awesome fight. The legal limit is two sharks per angler, and the delicious white meat is sought after because the consistency and taste is identical to SWORDFISH. The Mako shark is the fastest beast in the ocean and leaps high into the air during the fight, doing flips. The gear and accessories that we use are specifically for hudge sharks, so our vessels are all equipped with traditional sportfishing gear as well as shark gear. The Mako you landed was published in the 8/4/2023 edition of Western Outdoor News, which is an honor. So far this week, RockenReel Sportfishing is five for five, and we have released and landed record amounts of Mako sharks. The best part about your catch is that before your trip you messaged me that you are a Shark Tournament fisher and your record is a 250 pound Mako from your 17 catches ..we delivered and came pretty darn close!! Five big coolers filled to the top with delicious Mako steaks- I’m sure you enjoyed the meat you took home and thank you for sharing your catch with us- we really appreciate you, your business, the fat tips and your ability to tail wrap that beast single handedly. 8/12/2023 FISHING REPORT- MAKOS EVERYWHERE, 100 LB BLUEFIN, DORADO, AND YELLOWTAIL ARE ALL HERE. WATER IS AT AN ALL TIME HIGH AT 73-74 DEGREES AND WE ARE EXPERIENCING AN EL NINO YEAR WHICH MEANS THE NEXT FEW MONTHS OF FISHING WILL BE EPIC. THE LOCAL BASS AND BARRACUDA ARE BENDING POLES RIGHT AND LEFT. WE ARE GOING THROUGH TACKLE AND LINE LIKE NEVER BEFORE. NOW IS DEFINITELY THE TIME TO CATCH! ROCK ON

We do are best and strive fir big fish however Mother Nature is in control…when she opens the door we are always ready- hook up, fish on, get the gaff and “the monstrosity is much more than I anticipated” ” this is overwhelming” “oh, my gosh” I have all heard from clients..get em dog

One time, I had some guys from Libby Montana who canceled all their plans for the week and went out with me 4 days in a row. When it’s hot it’s hot. When it’s not it’s not.
