We did a 2:30 afternoon trip with Carlos.  Our 13 year old son is very passionate about fishing and fished few times in the ocean in the past, but fishing with Carlos was the most amazing fishing trip of his life.  We kept getting more and more fish, Carlos knew exactly where to go and where fish would be.  He was personable and engaging.  He let us fish on our own and jumped in to help when needed. Oh, and the sunset views were phenomenal.  It was really exciting and beautiful experience! Highly recommend!

Carlos was great, great personality and he put us on some fish nice and quick. After catching a bunch of tuna we went bottom fishing for red snapper. We caught a few along with some jack fish which were extremely tasty. They had a flavor between snapper and mackerel. Will definitely be fishing with Carlos again the next time we come to Bonaire.

I’ll just start off by saying that Carlos is an interesting guy and really knows how to fish these waters.  He uses what he described as fishing “how the locals do it” - mostly hand lines and trolling.  We caught blackfin tuna, barracuda, and sandtile.  All good eating, but nothing all that big and most on hand lines. 

Overall, my advice would be to know what it is you want to get out of a chartered fishing trip.  If you’re looking for a big fight with a trophy Marlin on a rod, this is probably not the boat.  But if you want to go out and catch a variety of eaters, Carlos will certainly put you in some fish.  My 2 daughters and I had a great time and we are well for the rest of our stay on Bonaire.

Great fishing with Carlos. He found the fish and great action. He is also a local fisherman and very knowledgeable about the island so we had a great time conversing with him. As a bonus we had dolphins riding with us!!

Carlos was very skilled at knowing where to take us to catch some fish. I thought we would do rod/reel fishing, though found it really interesting to see a different technique.
