If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Outcast Sport Fishing.
These waters are known for Yellowtail Amberjack, Calico Bass, Mako Shark, Halibut, Bluefin Tuna, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, White Seabass, Yellowfin Tuna, Thresher Shark, Pacific Barracuda, Sand Bass, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Andy can also show you kite fishing.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your boat for the day is a 34’ Freeman catamaran with room for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Outcast Sport Fishing!
