Hello! My name is Captain Dylan, I am a Tampa Bay native, part-time fishing guide, and pilot-in-training! When I am not up in the air, I am out on the water doing what I love most - chasing fish!
I’ve been fishing the bay, flats, and beaches of Tampa and St. Pete my whole life, but started doing licensed charters last year to help pay my way through pilot school.
A fishing trip on my boat is a little different from some of the other charters in the area. My biggest priorities are to have fun, explore new areas, and enjoy time on the water with the people im with. Some days we’ll catch a lot of fish, other days we wont - its as simple as that and I’ve priced my trips accordingly. So keep this in mind when booking. I take fishing seriously, but if catching a ton of fish or going home with a cooler full of fillets is your biggest priority, I would recommend booking with another captain.
I fish with my guests the same way I’d fish if I were going out by myself or with friends - every day is different, and every day is a unique challenge and a chance to learn something new about the awesome fishery we have here in Tampa Bay. Whether we catch 5 fish or 50, my goal is to have an enjoyable day on the water and a good time with the people I’m with.
To me, that’s the fun of fishing.
Most trips will start by heading out and catching live bait. From there, we will explore a variety of spots depending on what species are around in the season. This could be chasing after snook, trout, and redfish on the flats, fishing for tarpon around the bridges and passes (early summer), or going off the beaches to a nearshore reef.
*NOTE* As of January 2024, I do not keep snook or redfish to eat. We have had problems with populations in the past, and I prefer to practice catch and release only on these species.
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to shoot me a message and ask! Thanks, and hope to see you out there!
