The fish in these waters we love to watch our guests catch include jacks like yellow spot (papio) Hawaiian gray snapper (uku) goat fish (Moano kea) (Weke nono) (Moano kea)(kumu) Long-Tail Red Snapper (Onaga), Short-Tail Red Snapper (Ehu) ( Opakapaka) and more with any luck.
On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish using out new penn battle 3 spin jig rod and reel combos all set up to fight your fish. We run a 50 pound braded sprectra line with 30 pound flouoro carbon leader. Each leader has 2 size 14 BKN hooks and a 8 oz waight
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! We do have child-sized life vests are available, Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll find yourself aboard a 27’ Catamaran with room for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
You’ll find all the tackle waiting for you. Squid and sometimes Live bait is used.
In Hawaii at this time no local fishing licenses are required
All the fish you catch that are edible or yours to keep we will of course scale and gut or fillet your fish so they’re ready for you to cook and enjoy. We’re more than happy to share a favorite recipes with you as well if you are cooking yourself.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, no glass
