If you’re ready to have fun fishing in Gloucester, we’ve got you covered with Voodoo Charters.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Bluefish, Striped Bass, Cod, Dogfish, Flounder, Haddock, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Pollock, Thresher Shark, Porbeagle Shark, Yellowfin Tuna, and plenty more. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Your adventure begins aboard a 32’ Phoenix Twin Dorsal Sport sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don’t leave home without sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Voodoo Charters!
