Tails Up Guide Service
Tails Up Guide Service offers guided inshore fishing trips in the bay systems around Rockport, Port Aransas, and Aransas Pass. Departing from whichever of these areas is convenient for you, the crew will provide you with a fishing trip to remember. Captain James Sabo grew up fishing, so he has plenty of experience and knowledge to put you on the fish.
You’ll be fishing aboard a modern Haynie center console that can travel in extremely shallow water and lead you to the biggest inshore fish. The boat has a Garmin GPS system, as well as a trolling motor and anchoring system to allow you to approach fearful fish and stay put while you target them.
You could be using a variety of fishing styles on your trip, from fishing with live and dead bait such as mullet, mud minnow, and sea lice, to using topwater lures and soft plastics, which are the captain’s specialty. It all depends on how you would prefer to fish and what the captain judges will be the most effective method for the conditions and target species.
There’s a variety of fish species that call these waters home, and there’s always something you can target. You can expect to go after the desirable and delicious Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, or Flounder. You could also hook Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, and even Tarpon on occasion.
While the captain will supply all the appropriate rods, reels, bait, and lures, it is up to the customer to ensure that they arrive at the charter with a valid Texas saltwater fishing license with a saltwater stamp. While there are life jackets on board, it is advised that children under 13 bring their own life jackets, as type 1 jackets can be uncomfortable for younger children.
Join Tails Up Guide Service and prepare to have an unforgettable fishing trip under the Texan sun!
