Ron and his deck hand Hunter gave 100% to make sure that all Fisherman’s had a great trip and we’re taking care of bringing home our targeted species and as time permits another species   We were accompanied by a 90 year old fisherman today and they made sure he was able to safely fill his limit of salmon also   This is my 9th trip on the nautilus each trip he has outperformed the majority on sea bass salmon stripers halibut and rockfish thanks again nautilus for another great trip

The best way to find out if a boat captain and crew are good is to fish with them when fishing is tough. The fleet had very slow day fishing for salmon.. Capt. Ron and deck hand Hunter worked very hard to give us our best shot. We scratched out one nice king and were close to being high boat for the day. Boat is fast with a smooth ride.  I plan to fish with tis crew again, i can only imagine how good we would do when the fish are in!

We booked this as a company quarterly event and had a fantastic time! Captain Ron took us around the bay, explained clearly what needed to be done (particularly helpful since most of us were first-timers), and helped us with the lines. This was especially helpful when one of our team snagged a ~70 lb ray that gave chase around the whole boat!

Filleting and cleaning of catch afterward was efficient and much appreciated, and the fish was delicious.

We booked a salmon trip, but the salmon weren’t biting the previous few days, so Captain Ron recommended we go for other fish (leaving the choice up to us!) We decided to do so and caught so many things — Lingcod, halibut, several types of rockfish, striped bass. We probably caught almost 100 fish, it was incredible! All the while both Ron and Hunter answered questions, chatted, and taught us a bunch of things. Everyone was very pleased, highly recommend this boat and captain. They also cleaned all our fish for us which was great.

(PS. Since there’s Covid, everyone including the crew was good about keeping masks on and generally doing our best to be aware of personal space.)
