Kyle was a great captain and we all had an incredible time. We caught 3 chinook that we were able to keep. We caught another 4-5 coho that we released. Kyle knows Nehalem bay very well. He taught us a lot about fishing that area. He is a great conversationalist and was genuinely interested in us all having a great experience, which we did.

I would definitely use Kyle again and highly recommend him to anyone interested in fishing in the Nehalem area.

Kyle guided my wife and I on a half-day float trip on the North Fork of the Nehalem River…and it was awesome! We’re both beginner anglers with limited experience but Kyle made us feel right at home on his raft. He focused on setting us both up for success and sharing his expertise. It was a cold, wet day but Kyle kept the energy high and worked hard to get us into some amazing steelhead.

We chose the half day trip so we didn’t have to get up at the crack of dawn while on our vacation.  It was a warm day, so we were hoping we had made the right choice.  Apparently we did because both my husband and I were successful, as we each caught a Chinook salmon to take home with us.  I also caught a “Jack” which we were also able to take home with us.  Kyle was an excellent teacher, as neither us had ever fished for salmon before.  He was also very knowledgeable, as well as, patient with us both.  He knew the area so well, and even arrived early that day to do some scouting, to ensure that we would have a successful trip!  I would highly recommend Kyle to anyone looking for something fun to do on the Oregon Coast!

highly recommend Kyle, the Nehalem bay is a good spot to fish, caught some fish had a great time.. Boat and gear was in terrific condition, he was ready and waiting for us, took care of all our fishing need.
