Trip Summary

Great day of family fishing today. Caught and released three grouper, (can't wait until May 1), lots of snapper and so may other species. Not giant mounts here just a lot of fish that made for a great lunch and dinner for our guests.

Went to our normal calm water spots close to key west and caught plenty of snapper for dinner for our guests to take to a local restaurant that “cooks what ya caught”. On the way in did some trolling for barracuda and boom!! Great family day on the water.

Today we did our normal bottom fishing a some yellow tail drifting. Among our normal catch Kyle was able to land a beautiful Mutton Snapper as well as a mackerel. Doug brought aboard a smaller Trigger Fish that was safely returned to the water. Kyle after some schooling from First Mate Eric was able to catch a number of Yellow Tail Snapper.
