My gf and I flew in from Tampa a few days ago after a 3 hour delay and after Southwest Airlines lost my luggage with not just all my stuff, but also all of our fishing gear/winter clothes for the trip.
Capt Mike was responsive to my situation the whole time. He got us warm clothes to wear, hooked us up with a friendly and affordable driver for the weekend, and gave us some small coolers to check our fresh catch on the plane; hopefully SW doesn’t lose it.
Mike put us on all the redfish that I asked for and made us feel welcome. Def recommend to anyone who is looking for a charter in south east LA.

If you were looking for a perfect charter this is about as close as it gets. First off, the captain is a really great guy. However, if you don’t catch fish, even a great captain won’t make up for that. However that’s not the case here. In a short half day trip, Captain Mike put us on the fish almost immediately. Other boats came and went without success, but we continued to pull in fish after fish. Not only that, Captain Mike was really patient and helpful instructing my kids how to cast, set and land all the fish. The best quote of the day came from my son when he said, “Dad, I’m gonna stop fishing now, we’ve caught so many fish and I’m tired.” We all had a blast!

My boyfriend and I had an outstanding morning with Mike. We got on the boat, drove out to his lucky spot and instantly starting catching some good stuff. Mike puts a lot of work into making sure his trips go well and it sure does show, he’s prepared for anything coming his way. This man will not let you down!! Thank you once again Mike for showing us a great time, a return visit will happen!

Captain Mike was phenomenal! During the booking and planning of our fishing trip he was so wonderful and helpful! He even put us in touch with transportation to get to and from his boat. My dad and husband couldn’t stop talking about how amazing he was. Also, they came back with a great haul of fish! You need to book this trip! And I hope you are lucky enough to get our captain! If we ever are able to get back, you can bet that we will be booking a whole day trip with Captain Mike!

It started off with an error on my part… wrong Marina! However, Mike was understanding and we had a fabulous time! He was very patient and was educational.. especially since we had an 8 month old. We caught a black tip shark.. a 50lb black drum fish.. tons of croaker, trout and catfish. Mike dressed the fish we kept and recommended a place to have it prepared for lunch! Thanks Captain Mike for making this trip fabulous for us!
I will always remember this fishing trip. 8 month old Jack , was a very good baby. And Mr. Gary with the black tip shark was priceless. I wish y’all the best on y’all journey.
