Although our trip was canceled due to a weather front moving across the country, I greatly appreciated Brian’s communication over the 2 days of deciding if we could make the trip. Along with catching fish, Safety and having an enjoyable time we’re his top priority and the weather would not cooperate with us.
Absolutely enjoyed the trip! The crew was excellent and we caught our limit! I will book with them again when we return to Destin.
We were really excited about this trip as we do this annually. Everyone was nice and seemed knowledgeable, however, dolphins were cock blocking our fishing game and eating all of our catches we were reeling up. That really sucked considering we paid a crap load of money to bring home TWO small fish and that was it. I feel when that happens and you’re paying this much money, you should either get a credit or a refund in my opinion. I also I’m in the service industry. ✌🏽
Let me preface this with we enjoyed ourselves. It was a good trip over all. Was first time for all of us. Booked the trip and chose 6 hours because it was recommended on the site. 6 hour trip does not mean 6 hours of fishing as I assumed. It was two hours of travel out into deep water. We got to fish for 2 hours and then two hours back. Booking said captain and two deck hands. We arrived and there were 3 people. The owner, the captain and a deck hand (A.J.). We all boarded and got ready to go, the owner popped into the comfortable cabin and collected payment then disappeared, we thought upstairs with the captain. Would have been nice to have at least heard “thanks for the money, see ya!” Or something. We booked this as a family trip with 4 adults and 4 children. After boarding and paying we were informed that for the children to fish, an adult had to have a hand on the rod as well. Would have been nice to know prior, so that we could have made arrangements. A.J. was amazing. Cool attitude, good teacher and great entertainment. He took care of the 4 poles we were using and did fairly decent trying to keep up. Another deck hand would have elimated any wait times. Which to me as a customer that booked a 6 hour fishing trip but only got to fish for two hours would have been nice. We caught snapper. Was under the impression we would fish for more. We did troll one lure/pole on the way back and got a hit. It was a fun fight and got it to the back of the boat and unfortunately the line broke 🤨. I know we were fishing and the saying isn’t “gone catching”. But once we returned to the dock and seeing that everyone else limited out and even a few caught some big fish, I have to say, I was more disappointed. Luck of the draw? Bad choice? Who knows? Guess I’ll find out in the next adventure.
