I purchased the 2.5hr 2 person charter for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. The original date for our trip called for a storm but Captain Brian saved the day and rescheduled us 2 days later!
He put us on multiple types of fish and was quick to get us to a new spot if the fish weren’t biting. He is very knowledgeable and very friendly. By the end of the trip we had caught a snook, puffer fish, snapper and 10-12 sheepshead. We also got to see a pair of dolphins swimming around next to the boat!
Once we got back to the dock, the Captain even filleted our catch for us to take back to our condo. We highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Brian if you are in the St. Pete area!!

After days of rain before the trip, we had a beautiful day out on the water with Captain Brian. He was early and fully ready with everything we needed for the day. The day started slow with the bite possibly affected by all the rain. Capt Brian never gave up and we move quickly to other spots and got on the fish. We had a great time hooking up with multiple trout and my son landed a monster. At one point we were catching as fast as we cast the bait in the water. Snook and redfish just didn’t cooperate but we switched gears and got into some sheepshead and mangrove snapper. Saw lots of dolphins, sharks, and pesky pelicans. It was my first experience fishing saltwater but I would recommend Capt Brian to anyone looking to have an awesome experience. After eating the fillets I may have to do it again next time. So good and such great memories made. Thanks Capt Brian.

We had a super time with Caption Brian , he was top notch. I have been on several charters all over the east coast this was one of our favorites. He worked hard keeping us on the bite he had the fish patterns down knew how to approach them with great presentation. I highly recommend fishing with him if your in the area and want to have a great time definitely consider Gulf coasting charters and Caption Brian Gearheart.

Fished an afternoon with my brother-in-law. We fished grass beds, mangrove shoreline, and various bridge/shore structures with live bait & light tackle. Brian did a great job of keeping things moving and dealing with strong winds. We caught snook, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, and almost landed a large redfish at the end. Brian is a capable fisherman and a great guide, I’d highly recommend him.

Captain Brian was awesome! Very knowledgeable and nice. It was a fairly slow day relative to his other trips but not for lack of trying! We still caught 7 different species. Captain Brian gave great local recommendations and even drove us back on his boat to our place on the water. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
