This was by far our favorite fishing charter we have ever had! The boat was perfect and roomy for a family fishing trip with five adults and two kids (age 3 and 5). Captain Ed was friendly and personable and discussed our fishing options to determine what we wanted to catch before heading out. The first mate, Mongo, was awesome with our group and the kids absolutely loved him, he even rigged up a fish on our 3 year olds pole so he could think he caught his own fish! Everyone caught plenty of fish to take home and Mongo cleaned our fish so all we had to do was cook it! Captain Ed and Mongo went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect day, and as an added bonus they even took us to see Dolphins up close and personal on the ride home. We highly recommend Lucky Strike Charters and will be back again!

Thanks glad you enjoyed your trip hope to see you again next year
We caught lots of Spanish mackerel and six Atlantic sharpnose sharks on a six-hour nearshore trip in late August. The first mate was very friendly and answered dozens of questions from our three kids. The inside space on the boat was outstanding. Table with two benches, a large L-shaped seating area, and three beds down the stairs. Three of the six of us ended up a touch sea sick as seas were rough. We simultaneously took restorative and comfortable naps inside. We’ve been on lots of charters. This is a great one. And by far our favorite boat we’ve been on.

Great family experience with 13, 10, and 4 year boys with parents and grandparents in tow! Captain Ed and Brian were amazing with the boys and engaging with everyone. We caught Barracuda, Spanish Mackerel, and a shark. The biggest catch, however, might have been back at the dock. While Brian was teaching our older boys how to clean and filet a fish, Captain Ed successfully caught our 4 year old’s hat that had fallen into the marsh below! We would highly recommend this trip. Thanks for the enjoyable afternoon to kickoff a week at the beach!

It is hard to compare this trip to our first one on our last family reunion. The first was not bad at all, but this was a whole new world. Capt Ed has a new deckhand, “Mongo”. The boat was immaculate, Mongo was always on the move. When he was not setting up rigs or assisting us, he was prepping for the next stop and cleaning. After trolling for Spanish mackerel, we got in about 3 1/2 hrs of shark fishing. The “kids” had a ball. All I can say is “Capt Ed (and hopefully Mongo), see you Jul ‘75.” We aren’t going anywhere else.
