We started out early to get to the right spot at dawn it was a smooth ride out and the boat cut through the chop. I took a nap in the beanbag until we arrived at the first Captain Bigfish “secret spot”. Monty said, “we are here lets catch some fish”. He and his first mate quickly rigged the boat and within 15 mins we had a 70lb Wahoo on the line and 20 mins later in the boat. The rest of the day was filled with much of the same. Monty put us on the fish and we caught them with a 95% success rate of getting them in the boat (which is very high for pelagics). We had over 600lbs of fish in the boat by the end of the day. We limited out on Wahoo, a few blackfin, Amberjacks and King Mackerel. This was my 5th trip with Monty and every single time we catch fish and they are “Big Fish”. Prior to Captain Big Fish I been on 30+ charters in the area and Monty beats them all hands down. His love of fishing and his commitment to safety and being well prepared to get the lines in the water fast means more fish in the boat. Additionally, he uses custom lures that he ties himself that outperform the other charters when on the water. Its funny when you listen to the other captains on the radio talking about the “couple fish” they put in the box when on Monty’s boat you already have a full box of fish. I have been a fisherman my whole life and my top 3 fishing days have been with Monty on the Captain Big Fish boat.  I would highly recommend Captain Big Fish and will be fishing with him again soon.
