Justin took my niece and I trout fishing this morning and we had such a great time. He was professional, polite, and attentive. We caught a bunch of fish and he even passed her some extras to make sure she kept having a great time. He appeared knowledgeable of the area, skilled in his sport, and was a responsible steward of the profession. I would also like to add- completely unrelated to today’s trip- I have been fishing in the area many times with other captains and know that sometimes you catch a lot and other times you catch a little less, but if you like boating you ALWAYS have fun! I was between renting a boat (sketchy, in my opinion, being unfamiliar with the area) or going fishing to break up the monotony of beach, pool, eat.. Justin’s reasonable rates made an easy decision for me. I was able to boat, fish, and I had my own super friendly captain all to myself. Why would you rent a boat? Another thing I considered was the possibility that my niece would become seasick. She has been on my boat plenty, but the ocean can be a different story, and in the bay fishing for trout there was virtually no possibility of that. Also super SAFE for kiddos. Which brings me to my second concern. I don’t mind going far out on my own, but I was surprisingly worried about all the possibilities any boater is familiar with that I NEVER worry about ordinarily when I only have myself to be concerned with. The bay felt like a safer option than the open waters of the gulf with her onboard. I was thrilled to find Captain Justin, and think everyone, especially those with kids, should take advantage of his service and make some awesome memories like we did!
