We booked a half day trip.  I told captain Randy that we wanted to target edible fish species.  They were very understanding and accommodating.  Captain Randy couldn’t make it, and he sent his first mate as captain and another first mate.  They were both great.

The boat is in great shape!  By far the best bote I’ve booked through Fishing Booker so far.  The boat was clean and well maintained, the head worked fine, and the two Yamaha four-stroke ran smoothly.  I will be booking this boat again for sure.

When we arrived the crew had several ballyhoo already rigged, as well as live bain in the live well.  They changed the spread between ballyhoo, lures, and live bain, depending on the situation, with great results.

We landed 4 mahi (kept 2 and released 2 small ones), 2 jacks, 1 albacore tuna, a bonita (released) and 2 black tuna (released).  So, everybody got to bring in at least 2 fish.

Great experience aboard Los Cielos

Had a fun trip with Capt Randy and Davey. He asked what we wanted to catch and then did his best to target those. Did a mix of bottom fishing and slow troll live bait at various reef areas. We got fish for dinner, but couldn’t find a rooster fish. Looking forward to booking Randy again for offshore next time.

Fished full day offshore with Capt. Randy and mate, David.  Randy gave us several options based on time of year and recent reports.  We opted to troll and caught mahi all day.  Was not our day for billfish, but guys worked hard and stayed extra time trying.  We felt included in the process of catching fish instead of just being handed a rod with a hooked fish.  Fishing with these guys felt like fishing with longtime friends.  Lots of laughs and smiles all day.  Thanks guys for a great day on the water!

We did a half day trip with Captain Randy and David and they were absolutely amazing! They were so knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a good time. We caught grouper, tile fish, scorpion fish, and a few others. We also saw DOLPHINS! Which was an awesome bonus. They had fresh fruit for us, sandwiches, and refreshments as well as an awesome music playlist. It was a truly wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good time and a good Costa Rican fishing experience!

Started out slow, we saw a sailfish jumping and then started fishing out about 16 miles at 400’ of water but the fish just weren’t biting. We had a full day scheduled so we were able to go further out. The Captain heard of some tuna out about 25 miles so we headed there and among the dolphins and birds we saw tuna jumping. No bites after fishing for a while so started heading back and came across some more tuna where I was able to land one, my sons came off before he could get it in. We came back to about 16 miles out and my son was able to land a nice Mahi Mahi. I caught a small one we threw back.
Excellent experience with Captain Randy and I would highly recommend. So accommodating, he called the resort we were staying in and they agreed to cook our catch that evening and even called us a taxi that was awaiting when we are back to shore.

Had a great day making memories with my son. I recommend the full day trip.
