Highly recommend! Mickey and his partner were great. Couldn’t have been more accomodating. We had a member of our group in a wheelchair and Mickey was able to work with his partner Keith to take out his tourney outfitted tri-toon boat to make access easier. They worked hard to put us on the fish all day. Now, if only the weathermen could have done their job as well as Mickey and Keith! Thanks for all the effort and information guys…

My son and I had not fished together in thirty years so when I told him about my trip with my grandsons and Captain Mickey, he had to fly in from Pittsburg to experience it for himself. Captain Mickey located the fish immediately but no matter what we threw at them we could not get them to bite. Within six hours, and almost a tank of gas we had a cooler full and spent the remaining two hours catching and releasing to include an 18 lb. catfish. There are many guides on this site but if you want someone that will really work for you and is extremely knowledgeable Mad Gillz Fishing is the best.

We had an amazing time with Captain Mickey!  The boat was fantastic and Mickey set us up with all of the information and details we needed beforehand.
He knew every nook and cranny of the lake and was able to share stories that kept the conversation lively when the fish weren’t biting.  We would have had a great day no matter what, but the fact that we caught some fish made it a homerun!  I know there are a lot of choices on this website, but you can’t go wrong with Mad Gillz and Mickey.  We’ll definitely be booking again!

I cannot say enough compliments for Capt Mickey and the Mad Gillz. Took my grandson fishing and Mickey was absolutely outstanding with him and put us on the bass! Spotted, big mouth and striper he had us a trifecta that could not be beat for building a great memory for me and my grandson. Worth every penny and we will return. Thanks Mickey 10 stars if they had them!!!

Weather made things a bit unpredictable for an afternoon trip. That was made up for with an 8 lb spotted bass… yes, 8 lb not a typo…. fish was a complete hog. Let it go. Need to keep that type of genetics in the lake. If you are lucky enough to catch this fish next year you will probably have the lake record.
