If you’re looking for a short excursion just to spend some time on the water, get a different view of Key West, and catch a few fish, I’d highly recommend the 2 hour outing with Good Times Key West. Nate served as our captain. A good conversationalist (especially after discovering we were both from the upper Midwest) and he put us on some fish. He even snagged (and obviously released) a nurse shark which was quite the experience. Our catch was mullet snapper and some small, yet very picturesque yellow tail. It would have been nice to have a café or restaurant very close by to cook the catch for lunch. My only recommendation to the Captain is to add some paper towels or rags to the equipment list. Overall, would highly recommend the 2 hour outing on the Good Times Key West.

We booked this trip because it was my husband and son’s first time fishing in the ocean and we were worried about boredom for my son (7) and any possible sea-sickness for both of them. Neither was a problem at all!

The trip was wonderful! They caught a ton of fish, were very instructive with my son, and even got in a bit of snorkeling! They caught enough fish for a full fish dinner for 9 people!

The only complaints were that it was pretty windy and the Captain started off having a bit of a hard time keeping the boat stationed over the fishing holes. He switched boats in a tight turnaround before our trip and we think the boats just handled differently in the wind. This was quickly resolved and the rest of the trip was great!

We just had the best day! We are not experienced at all and each caught about ten fish (if not more!) under captain Jack’s instruction. My favorite meal this vacation was the fish bowl I ate using my own catch! The boat ride to the fishing spot was so fun and the fishing just as exciting! Highly recommend to anyone! We will definitely be coming back!

Justin didn’t disappoint! Our goal was to catch lunch and we did and the restaurant we launched from prepared amazing tacos!! Justin wasn’t just knowledgeable about the boat but was almost a tour guide as well, filling us in on key west history! He has a great attitude and is patient with less experienced fishermen.

We had the most amazing time on a 3 hour charter with Captain Tony. He knew all the right spots, was effortless with rigging and handling the boat, and was truly passionate about us having a great time and getting in the fish. We caught snappers, yellowtail, shark, and barracuda. We had a number of other bites as well that got away through my incompetence! I would highly suggest him for anyone looking for a great time fishing here.
