My 12 year old son and I we t on a 3/4 day trip with Captain Jim. We caught some Skad Mackerel for live bait then went out after Ono. Ended up getting 3 on without steel leaders due to finicky fish, all 3 cut the line! But as an avid fisherman I understand that it’s part of the deal! Both Captain Jim and his mate worked their butts off for the entire trip trying to get us a fish in the boat, so as far as I’m concerned it was a day and money well spent. Plus we had a 12ft Tigershark come up and look at one of our Mackerel! That’s a memory that my son and I will share forever, and again money well spent. Obviously no one can predict what the fishing will be like, but if your looking for a boat and crew who will work hard and honestly try to get you hooked up then check them out!
