My wife got me a surprise inshore/wreck fishing trip with 2 of my buddies for my birthday - a great gift indeed! We went out on Saturday 9/11/21 which was a beautiful day but followed on the heels of some large storms that passed through the week prior and reduced water clarity from what it normally would be. Overall we had a great time and caught many fish. Captain Tony is personable, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable - he’s a good guy to spend some time with on the water. It’s obvious that he puts a lot of thought, effort, and consideration into these trips and it shows. He did right by us and gave us an excellent and memorable experience, and that, to me, is of utmost importance.
His boat was perfect for our outing - plenty of room for the 3 of us and we could have had 1-2 more. The boat’s design is well-suited to the types of fishing we did, and the technology was also first rate, especially the trolling motor which allowed us to fish in some challenging tidal conditions near the route 50 bridge. The boat was also very clean and all the rods and reels worked like they should. All these nice elements made the day very enjoyable and relaxing.
I wasn’t keeping count of the fish but we caught a good mix of sea bass, blue fish, flounder, and stripped bass. Most were not keeper size but that was not an important factor for us. Would it have been nice to take home a large catch? Sure, but I don’t control the weather and water clarity and neither does Captain Tony. It’s important to point out, however, that he demonstrated his ability to control the variables he’s able to in order to find and catch some fish, so big props to him for being able to put us on fish despite the tough circumstances.
In summary, I would absolutely book with him again, and I hope to again this fall. He has some neat offerings, one of which is a night fishing trip which my wife and I will do together. I appreciate that we can do several hours of fishing in a variety of different settings instead of taking a whole day to do an offshore trip. If you’re looking for a great fishing experience, you will find it with Captain Tony, and I highly recommend booking with him.

Thanks you, we made the most of the conditions we had that morning. I think the fish gods knew it was your birthday and allowed us to pull that done off. As dirty as the water was, I wouldn’t have been surprised if we ended up catching a catfish. I look forward to fishing with your again.
