My brothers and I had a great experience fishing for the first time ever on Lake Michigan. Captain Ernesto sent several informative texts before our trip with good, simple info we needed to know. They were all ready to go when we arrived at the dock. Their safety and fishing instruction was simple and easy to follow. The bite was a little slower than normal that day but the Captain & First Mate kept on persisting until each of us landed fish, several of which were quite big and overall 4 different species which was cool to see. It was also nice to hear how they communicated with several other boats to share knowledge on where the fish were biting. I think that’s a great method to help all have a good chance to catch the most amount of fish possible. Next time we want to do some Lake Michigan fishing we’ll definitely be contacting Captain Ernesto!

We felt like this trip was as good as it gets. 2 adults with 4 11 year old boys. Captain and first mate were professional, safe, and wildly helpful in terms of fishing and accommodations. The boat comfortably fit us all, the 14 or so rods in the water kept the fish coming in, and the guys knew where to put us. I. Not sure if there’s anything they could have done to make things better.

All contact pre-trip was prompt and efficient as well. Basically I can’t recommend Thin Blue Line any more for a great fishing trip in Chicago. Thanks guys!

Highly highly recommend these guys. Outstanding boat and equipment and just good guys. Although they were obviously in charge and knew what they were doing…it had more of a feel of just going out fishing with your buddies. Caught a bunch of fish and enjoyed the heck outta the whole trip…

We had a great time on our first fishing trip like this, the crew was super welcoming made us feel like we were extremely welcome from the beginning and made something difficult for first timers seem like we’d been doing it for awhile. 10/10 experience.
