From start to finish, this was one of the best trips I had been on so far. Captain Steve is a phenomenal guy!! Right away he fit in and by the end of the trip, he was family.
He called me the day before to let me know that he had no one booked prior to our 4pm trip, so we could play around with the time a little if we wanted. We left a little earlier which made for a bright, sunny, warm day, which was awesome!
The boat is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, clean, and just stunning… best fishing vessel I’ve been on year-to-date!!
We stopped off, got live bait, and headed out to fish. Now, we only got one fish, which we had to toss back due to size restrictions, but all day, we were moving and working bottom rigs, top lures, top bait, mid bait, Steve even set up a shark rig to see if we could get lucky with that, but when the fish dont wanna eat, they dont wanna eat… but hey, that’s fishing for ya
Steve did everything he could, so we didnt blame him one bit. We will definitely be back next next time we’re in California!!!! 5 stars all the way!!!

Another stunning day at sea w/ great company, good music and tasty food. I gave it my best shot but it was tough out there today because the fish were not biting- all the reports came back with the same results. Thank you for choosing RockenReel Sportfishing my new friends.
