Easy booking procedures. Captain was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t catch any fish and we had a few ‘casualties’ due to the rolling waves lol, the captain tried his best to make our fishing trip as enjoyable as possible. He tried his best to find different fishing spots, using all the tools and bait he had onhand, unfortunately this day wasn’t ours. We highly recommend! Will be back again!

We booked the 6 hour w/ Capt. Balta. Great crew, checking and clearing lines nonstop. Had a couple hits before landing a nice Wahoo. When the trolling slowed down Balta knew exactly where to go to jig for grouper. On the return we stopped in a calm cove for snorkeling and saw sting rays and turtles. Was the 7 and 9 year olds highlight of the trip… mine was seeing them hold our fish!

We had an incredible day with Captain Balta and Adrian! I had never caught a billfish before, so we went out trolling and ended up landing a sailfish in the morning! The bite slowed down but then we caught a kingfish on the way in! Captain Balta made ceviche and guacamole for an incredible lunch on the beach! This was an incredible experience that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great day!

Booked the Balihoo Boat with Captain Gerardo Ramirez out of Playa del Carmen for me and my partner. Overall had an amazing time. We got up early to meet and were off right away. Did some jigging and caught a small amberjack. However, we both started to feel dizzy from the smooth but large waves. We ended up trolling for the last 2 hours, which helped with our symptoms, but weren’t successful in getting any bites after that. We had some very nice conversations with the captain and got to see a great view of the coast. The resort at the meeting spot offers to cook your caught fish, which we ended up doing. Cost about 250 pesos per person. They provide everything for awesome fish tacos.

I would definitely recommend him for any one interested in a fishing charter. If you are not sure about sea sickness, I also recommend you take a pill before you go. This put a slight damper on our trip and could have been avoided if I had.

We fished with Lucio and Adrian.  Both were very helpful and Lucio was so laidback and willing to give us the fishing trip we wanted which included snorkeling halfway through. I would definitely book again. Lucio also filleted our Mahi and gave them to the hotel at the beach to cook for us. So good!!!
