Booked the half-day all inclusive package for my brother-in-law and 3 of our kids (11,10, and 7) and couldn’t have imagined a better day. We were scheduled to depart at 6:00 am. At 5:24 I received a message through the app that they were ready for us!  When you arrive at the dock we had to go into a nearby mini-mart and purchase fishing licenses for $20 each (adults only). Luckily there was no line when we arrived so we got in and out quickly. But the line built up while we were purchasing. I would recommend arriving early.

Apart from the message through the App Edgardo also started calling around 5:50 to make sure we were arriving. I appreciated the communication.

Edgardo introduced us to the captain, Carlos, and first mate, Christian. Carlos didn’t talk very much. Christian was friendly, knowledgable, and very quick with all the gear.  There was a cooler inside the boat full of cold drinks.  I was told there were box lunches available inside but we had snacks and never asked about it so can’t comment on quality of food.

Anyway, fishing was slow to start. We caught 2 skip jacks in our first two hours.  We were mentally preparing ourselves for a day of just catching tuna which would have been fine, but then the fish started biting!  We hauled in 3 Dorado.  We had a 4th on the line but it broke free just as we were going to pull it in.  A few times over the afternoon Carlos and Christian scrambled as we got a nip on the live bait set out for the marlin.  We didn’t want to get our hopes up but after 4 hours one hit! It was awesome.  Took about 20 minutes to haul in.  Christian gave us the option to keep it but we decided to throw it back. We did keep one of the Dorado and gave the other two to the fellas.  Christian filleted them up on the boat and put it on ice.

In total we caught 7 Skip Jack, 3 Dorado, and 1 Marlin. It was an unbelievably perfect day. Would highly recommend this half-day trip!

Fishing started off slow but the crew never stopped searching for the fish.
We hooked onto a BIG Mako and it was short lived as it broke the line but it was a thrill!
Fishing really starting amping up and we caught Dorado, Jack Crevale and a Skip Jack and at one point we had 3 Jack Crevalle on at once along with a Marlin
We also saw 2 sharks, sea turtle and some seals out in the open water!
The crew was awesome and even kept us out fishing past our allotted time!

fishing was a bit slow but we managed to boat a nice marlin and release it, hooked up with another one but it circled around and got bird nested up in a couple of our other line’s and managed to get away. lucky day for her, got in to some flat seas caught 3 marlins talking a break on the service our crew casted live bait right in front them but no go (that’s called fishing) on the way in hooked up two nice Dorado only boated one no fault of the crew. all and all fishing was fantastic catching was a little slow. came into the marina flying a Dorado flag, a marlin flag and a release flag on the marlin. Carlo Cristian and Edgar worked hard to get us hooked up. FYI we only saw two marlin flags in the whole marina. good fun planning on fishing with them next October.

5 stars all around! From the initial booking to obtaining fishing licenses, to delicious sandwiches, everything was fantastic! We are a Family of 4 and chartered the Wahoo for a half day of fishing. Shortly after we left the marina, we had 3 marlin on the lines! One was able to break free, I hauled one in, and my wife the other. It was awesome! The crew was extremely helpful and worked quickly to assure the fish were able to be photographed, and released back into the water in a matter of minutes. We trolled a while longer before my Son caught a Skipjack Tuna. What an experience for all of us. The boat was clean, big enough for all of us and the crew were top notch. We enjoyed seeing the whales and pods of dolphins throughout our morning. Our fishing trip was worth every penny! Will most definitely book the Wahoo again next time we are in Cabo!

Fantastic day with the guys on the Wahoo. We were out of the marina at 6am sharp. The first mate Christian spoke perfect English. We asked to either go for dorado or reef fishing( snapper grouper). They explained the reef bite was very slow due to warm water so dorado it was! We had 3 dorado on the boat by 9am(25, 15, 15 lbs) We then got a striped marlin. We weren’t really targeting marlin but it was a fun fight with a clean release. We kept after the dorado with no luck. Late in the day hooked into another marlin which we also released. Great day with a great crew. Will book with them again.
